Grain and Vegetables versus Fruit and Meat
This is where my health adventure has led me. The old paradigm that poor people are supposed to subsist on Cooked grains plus cooked vegetables diet is supposed to be a laborer’s diet. Filling and cheap. Rice, bread and corn are cheap, as are leaves. You can eat this 3x a day if you are really poor. And of course in your middle ages, you become fat, diabetic prone and sickly.
Now I’ve switched over to raw fruits + raw / cooked fatty meat. A more expensive diet, but healing muscle building, not fat building. I don’t drink supplemental water, I don’t get sick, and I’m almost into my middle age and I have a 29 inch waistline from what used to be at its maximum of 38 inches. I gained 6 lbs from 112 to 118 lbs and my waistline remained at 29. Fruits and meat are non-inflammatory. Look, no inflammations! It’s a more expensive diet, the solution is to NOT eat out, my home prepared meal is tons better anyway. And when you don’t get sick, there are no medical bills to pay. Zero.
Eating grains and meats today I see as incompatible. You can’t eat that much meat when you are eating grains. And you can’t tolerate eating that much fat when you are eating grains. It seems the body prefers the grains over the fats. But when you are not eating grains, you will notice that you DO like FAT. And when you do eat a big fatty meal, you are full for the rest of the day. Eat your big meal by lunch, not dinner ok?
I see fruit + meat as a low carb, high fat diet. Fruits provide mostly hydration, not much carbs, unless you stuff yourself with bananas or super sweet fruits. Raw / lightly cooked animal foods are concentrated with lots of nutrition and you will gain weight, muscle weight, if you do some exercise.
You want to be fat for the sake of being fat? Follow the examples of livestock. Gorge on grains and be fat. Now you know.
