Hypoglycemia Symptoms described by 5 year old daughter

Last night at dinner in the usual family conversation my 5 year old daughter volunteers an experience at her class.  Wednesday is usually bread day.  Since she is not allowed bread, her teachers decided to give her an orange and an apple.  She then described that she felt tremors on her whole body (nanginginig)… hypoglycemia symptoms. The tremors stopped when at lunch time she was fed her lunch of horse meat, broccoli and sweet potato.

Those are exactly the same hypoglycemia symptoms I would get when I overdose myself on certain carbohydrates such as a combination of 3 green oranges and 3 bananas.  Feels terrible.  What I do when I feel those horrible tremors is I find the largest source of fat to counteract it.  My first choice would be raw animal fat and meat, second choice cooked animal fat and meat.

These are hypoglycemia symptoms in the old ignorant days I felt I thought was just normal before mealtimes.  Then I learned about high fat low carb diets and I stopped experiencing those.  Since I’m not perfect, I know when I make high carb dietary mistakes at times like eating too much fruit.

Since my 5 year old daughter is not on a raw paleo diet, I’ve lately modified her diet to be a cooked paleo diet with cooked meat, cooked veggies, cooked sweet potatoes / yams or sometimes brown rice.  Even though sweet potatoes give a large amount of carbohydrates, they do not seem to cause hypoglycemia symptoms.

Ah genetics at play.  This is my carb sensitive daughter who used to be plagued with tooth decay.  I had banned sweet fruits from her diet for a few months now, but those teachers were not informed of that ban.  In their list they only had bread banned, I should add sweet fruit to their list.
