Tiny, Small, Delicious Bioco Mango Available in the Markets of Manila
Awesome tiny “Bioco” Mango is now available in the fruit markets in Marikina Market and Farmer’s Market in Cubao, Quezon City. Price in Marikina is 90 to 100 pesos per kilo. Price in Cubao is 120 pesos per kilo. I’d heard from our maid that she saw these same tiny Bioco mangos being sold in Market Market in The Fort Bonifacio for 300 pesos per kilo.
Bioco Mango is what the market vendors label these. I have no idea what the scientific name is. As for smell, it smells like a regular carabao mango. As for taste, it tastes like a regular delicious carabao mango.
Remember to always ask for the word BAKLAS as that is the code word for untainted by chemical ripeners that use gunpowder / kalburo.
Feast your eyes on these pictures. Look at how cure one bioco mango is in my palm! And what it looks like inside after I had bitten off part of it.
