LED Bulb Review of GES 5.5 Watts
I was in ACE hardware yesterday and I stumbled onto a new generation of LED bulbs. I remember buying a 1.7 watt LED bulb, all white. That sucked so bad. This time they have a more powerful bulb 5.5 watts under a different brand GES. 514.75 pesos only. 470 lumens it says in the box. Model WECQ-5.5W. I bought the “warm” white colored version.
What do I think of this LED bulb? First of all, the prettiest warm light comes from the 40 watt incandescent bulb. The next prettiest comes from the warm white CFL light bulb. And the least preferable light comes from this S-LED light bulb.
This LED Bulb is bright. The warmness is really not that warm. There is a frequency at which this LED bulb operates that is annoying to my eyes. Although it is a lot better than the 1.7 watt old LED bulb.
The only saving grace I would choose this kind of bulb again over CFL light bulbs is the mercury issue of CFL light bulbs.
I may choose this kind of S-LED light bulb to save on electricity vs incandescent light bulbs.
But as to the quality of the light, the satisfaction of the lighting, for prettiness, for evening mood atmosphere for sleeping… this LED light bulb is not “there” yet. Maybe there are better LED bulbs out there.
I think I will be using these 2 bulbs I bought as the out door light.
