My inflamed colon is now cured, started experimenting with bamboo shell clams yesterday
For those who were concerned about my recent colon inflammation, thank you. All is well now. It looks as if it was the large amount of that brown honey I tried for the first time with the beef. Maybe it had enzymes that didn’t agree with my large intestine. Maybe I should tell my wife to stop eating that honey as well and see if her tummy improves. Now don’t misinterpret that all honey is bad, maybe it’s just this one.
In the morning I had asked my driver to buy a fresh bag of oysters from the wet market. Yummy raw oysters dipped in lemon juice with added rock salt. That was my 9am meal. I missed eating.
Yesterday in the market I chanced upon live bamboo shell clams at 120 pesos per kilo. My chance to self experiment. I bought just 1 kilo. Upon reaching home around 2pm I asked my cook to lightl flash cook them in a wok… something like searing for clams so they open up and are easy to eat. I know you raw purists want it raw but the brittle shell and it is still alive, it fights for its life while eating it. With this method, it is seared so it all opens up dead. I ate 1/2 kilo worth in less than 5 minutes. Very good, very tasty. I think this kind of clam is fatty too, kept me quite full for some 4 hours.
Expensive kind of clams but I think it is a worthy addition to my children’s diet. The next time I come across it I will buy a lot more for the whole family. I detected no pollution with what I ate. In fact I ate these bamboo shell clams at 2pm, then again at 6pm.
I also bought yesterday a new kilo of raw beef for this day’s lunch. Life is beautiful again. I’m healthy again and I abused myself last night by not sleeping as I finished the new office server. Just replaced the server hard drives with double the capacity and installed a new linux operating system, hopefully will achieve better results than the older one. I won’t get into tech geek stuff here, this is my health blog!
