Oysters sold out last valentines day!
I was again in Farmers Market in Cubao, Quezon City buying my bag of oysters. Struck a conversation with a lady. She asked something about the live clams I bought. I said she should buy the clams from Masbate, more expensive but cleaner than the ones from cavite. Then she was saying something about her children. I said if you want your children to make children, feed them oysters… yeah, they are going to be sexually reproductive with oysters…
The sellers chimed in. They said last Valentine’s Day, February 14, and the day prior, all their oysters sold out, all the oysters in the whole market sold out. Goes to show just how amorous our Filipino people are. Gotta keep tall and hard, motels were also full on Valentines day. Seems many people know this thing about oysters and they know it works fast… really fast.
