Children and Cholesterol Tests – Blatant Commercialism of a Nothing Concept

Just my own opinion.  Totally based on nothing but my healer intuition.  So in the headlines of news items, it seems the PR agencies are on a roll.  They are pushing for cholesterol tests for children.  A great way to increase sales of certain cholesterol lowering drugs.  Pure marketing genius.

I am of the absolutely contrarian opinion.  First of all, I do not believe a word of the cholesterol numbers game or concept… whether for adults or children.  That cholesterol readings should be of a low enough number to be free of the risk of heart disease is a total nothing.  That cholesterol levels have to be manipulated to a lower value to be “safe” is just a way to sell whatever.  I don’t care how many studies they spew out into journals, I don’t buy a word of it.

I never took cholestorol tests, and I never want to, and if ever it came out of some group of tests, I’m not interested either in any reading.   For me, it’s a big fat nothing.

If you want to know if you have occlusion in your arteries, there should be some whiz bang harmless scanner that should give you a 3d computer model and printout.

As to how to diagnose if a person may get arterial clogging?  Just look at his diet and lifestyle.  If he eats a standard urban diet, if he follows the high carb low fat food pyramid, if he eats the most inflammation causing foods like wheat and derivatives, potatoes and derivatives, vegetable cooking oil, tomatoes and derivatives, soda drinks, sugar bombs, artificial sweeteners, food coloring, cooked meat all the time, combines different foods at every meal, non-organic vegetables all the time, smokes and drinks alcohol all the time, sleeps too late, pours chemicals on himself on a daily basis and takes daily prescription drugs, and artificial vitamins… then we have a winner –  the candidate for heart disease.

It doesn’t take a genius to just ask the person to make a journal of what his activities and diet was like for 1 week.  There’s your risk right there, simple and direct to the point.

From the very premise of the concept of cholesterol I disagree.  So if you are of the western medical mindset, let’s just disagree.  You get your children these cholesterol tests and take the drugs required to lower those numbers… and I’ll stick to my guns and keep my children away from western medical pediatricians of this mindset and industry.
