Sole of feet itch – rash: virgin coconut oil, oil of oregano, zapper, garlic
My 3 year old girl has been complaining the past few days about itching at the soles of her feet. Saturday and Sunday she was at the beach with relatives. This evening Sunday she was complaining to me about the itch and it appeared to me that the itch and the internal rash is getting worse.
My first suspect is ticks, fleas, from those ducks we kept as pets and the stray cats. I myself has been plagued lately with tiny bites, that is why I brought the mosquito trap inside the house and have been turning on the fan at my legs.
The past days I just slapped virgin coconut oil on my daughter and the itch would go away. Then when she got back to me again, I zapped it for 20 minutes with our don croft zapper and the itch went away. This evening on her complaint I used stronger stuff, I added Barefoot Herbalist MH’s pure oregano oil – 1 drop to 15 drops of virgin coconut oil and slapped that on to her feet. It went away for a while, then she asked for help again, it went away for a while, but she complained again. So I thought, it was time to bring in stronger stuff.
I got two whole bulbs of native ilocos garlic and crushed them and mixed them in virgin coconut oil. I put this concoction in a plastic plate and I asked my 3 year old daughter to stand on it for 10 minutes. She’s a good girl, she wants to get well and she knows daddy will try his best. Her 5 year old older brother entertained her while she awaited patiently and happily for 10 minutes. After that 10 minute wait standing up, I asked her to sit and I wiped her feet off with a tissue.
My little girl found relief and is now sound asleep. Let’s see tomorrow if those pests return. If they do, it is herbal deworming / parasite cleansing time.
