Restaurant Sushi Made Me Awfully Sick for a few days

I attended the gala showing of my sister in law’s movie at the CCP last last Saturday. After the movie they served some socials buffet catered by a commercial Japanese restaurant. I had to be sociable. I was in a mad rush to get to this gala showing I had not eaten my lunch. These various commercial sushis became my lunch.

Now I do not know what different kind of concoctions were mixed into these sushis. There’s sticky rice, sea weed paper, commercial mayonnaise, some cheese, some raw farmed salmon, some raw tuna, some artificial crab like concoctions…total junk food. Remember, I have been on raw paleo diet for more than 1.5 years. I get to eat cooked meat once in a while. I don’t digest cooked meat + cooked rice very well. But this one time I ate this much sushi… made me truly SUFFER.

This one time sushi meal really put my lights out. Knocked me into submission in bed the next day the whole day Sunday writhing in pain and agony. I know my tummy isn’t used to junk food but this is ridiculous.

Analyzing the past problem, it seems that since I’m used to not drinking so much plain water because I don’t have to on a raw diet, this sudden big sushi meal seems to have absorbed my water in my gut, it dehydrated me and stuck in my gut for quite some time, with probably some toxic combinations I am no longer used to. I got wind of the dehydration problem and bought myself a big watermelon and even tried gatorade once.

After the dehydration problem was solved. Bowel movement commenced. Aahhh, we are getting somewhere.

The new problem was my intestines were inflamed. Painful. Expanded my intestines. I was slim with a large belly. Darn. I knew the answer to this. Large quantities of cooked and slightly cooked fatty meat. One night, even though I was full, I forced myself to buy some commercial pork liempo at Baliwag’s. I slept like a baby that night. Next days I bought a lot of grass fed very fatty sirloin beef. I seared the beef for some 10 seconds each side and ate them in the mornings to soak up my acidity. It was a meaty week for me this past week. Heated meat calms my inflamed intestines. By Saturday I had a solid gut again.

So I had some cooked pork and seared beef… not entirely raw paleo right? This is healing at work. I know that will work and it did work. Back to fully raw this week. What a relief. I think I will continue with the fatty raw meat in the mornings adjustment, it seems to have a calming effect on my stomach.

Lesson learned, be wary when eating commercially prepared food. That was awful!
