Painful Cavity Takes my 5 year old girl to the dentist
Yesterday Thursday my 5 year old girl was complaining she had a toothache. Some molar on the left upper quadrant. Why for some reason last Wednesday I went to the Indian grocery and bought some clove oil… must be my little girl’s luck. So I used a cotton bud and put clove oil on her tooth. She felt some relief, but there was still pain. Before bed Thursday I added another application of clove oil. She slept through the night.
Come this morning Friday I put clove oil on her tooth again. She still had pain. Hmmm…. that’s not right, something needs a dentist’s attention. First aid doesn’t seem to be working. But where to get a dentist today, it’s a holiday. Lunch time I asked my mother in law which dentist in the neighborhood they patronize, she said Dr. Niverba.
After lunch my 5 year old girl wanted to go to the neighborhood toy store to get a bubbling bottle. On the way there was Dr. Niverba’s office, it said open, knock on the door. Were we lucky, it was Dr. Niverba himself, no patient, we walked just right in and my daughter got attended to immediately.
So Dr. Niverba took care of the problem. He noticed the cavity in the middle of the molar. But what was painful was an abscess on the gums at the root of the tooth just beneath her left cheek. It had to be popped and drained. Dr. Niverba drilled as needed and mixed his non-amalgam tooth filling. He said he had a cotton bud with some medication underneath the filling material, plus he left a small hole so that the abscess could breath.
The the good dentist suggested the usual antibiotics and painkillers for my daughter. Painkillers, what for? It didn’t bother her that much, she doesn’t say so anyway. As for antibiotics, I have other ideas:
– Gargle with fresh oregano 5 times a day
– Do oil pulling with virgin coconut oil 3x per day
– Add some fresh garlic juice to the coconut oil and see if she can take it.
– Sleep early, sleep in the afternoon.
– Feed with raw tuna / blue marlin for high fat omega 3s, feed grass fed beef fat also high in omega 3s.
– stop all fruit. stop all rice. Only coconuts with coconut meat is now allowed. The rest will be raw / rare meat and fish and their raw / rare fats. Plus explore juiced or blendered cooked vegetables. I bought a zucchini. Feed her a lot of raw fat for inflammation relief.
– buy special nutritious foods: raw live oysters, raw beef liver, crab tomale? Duck eggs.
– No toothbrushing for now. I want no abrasion, no chemicals in her mouth.
So this shows the failure of the paradigm of tooth brushing. If there was a contest on the most fanatic tooth brushers, my wife would be champ.
So this shows my daughter is sensitive to fruit and carbs and it shows on her teeth. There are lots of cavities. Just like Rami Nagel’s daughter, the author of the book Cure Tooth Decay, fruit and carbs do not work for her.
I also noticed that on her rice based diet, her intake of cooked meat is very small, and her fat intake even smaller. I will have to invert that pyramid and let her get used to eating more raw fat. This late afternoon I fed her raw tuna, then some yellow raw beef fat, then in dinner evening some raw oysters. She got filled up. Fresh oysters are filling.
Tomorrow I’ll get coconuts then feed her some raw liver in calamansi and some pepper for taste. Of course more raw / rare meat, I got wonderful T-bone. I will accept searing for now for taste so she can eat a lot. How she’s going to chew? Just cut the beef and fat with scissors until it’s very small. I tell her to chew a little on her right side of her mouth then swallow.
Must remember to boil some zucchini and have her taste that as well. More oil pulling and more oregano oil gargling. We will do this the natural way.
Curing tooth decay is som 95% raw animal fatty food choosing special nutritious ones with the rest being green vegetables raw and juiced or cooked and blendered? Whatever my daughter finds palatable.
